Upon first listen to “Find Later,” anyone who knows the ennui of growing up in Ohio will know exactly what Spoils mean.
With their debut album, Cincinnati natives Spoils navigate midwest dreariness with the aloof affect one takes during a front porch cigarette break. Occupying the same territory as female-led indie cohorts Breeders and Snail Mail, Spoils snatch the baton and cruise with it on an 8-speed through the backrooms labyrinth of the suburban rust belt.
