ALADDIN SALES — the debut 12″ from Southern Indiana producer “Roadhouse” — is a 14-song tapestry of home recording workouts with a wide palate of approaches, ranging intuitively from miswired bedroom funk to flash-fried downer prog, paranoid acid-house, low-budget tape beats, brain damaged modern electro, Soviet x-ray soundtracks and subtly enchanting digital-acoustic confusion. The record plays like a slow spin of the rotary dial through extra-terrestrial AM/FM radioscapes, uncharted but not entirely uninhabitable.
