“On the heels of 2018’s collaborative album “American Dollar Bill – Keep Facing Sideways, You’re Too Hideous To Look At Face On” comes the second combined effort by improvisational master Keiji Haino and abstract expressionist metallurgists SUMAC. “Even for just the briefest moment / Keep charging this “expiation” / Plug in to making it slightly better” was captured in all its wild glory at Fever nightclub in Tokyo back in 2017. The album’s four tracks—described as “flamethrower jazz” by the album’s mixing engineer Randall Dunn—churn and boil with ghostly howls, thunderous dissonance, and disquieting negative space. Trost Records is proud to release this latest voracious collaboration between Keiji Haino & SUMAC.”
