We opened the door to a 6 foot by 6 foot concrete room. There they were, all the dogs standing in puddles of blood. Who put them here? What’s on the ground? Jesus Christ. I worked at a butcher shop. It didn’t look like this. This was something worse. This was something destructive. This was something that happened, only for those who were to find it, for it to matter. Again and again, things change. We walked down the hall. We found another place to enter, and that place is worse than the last. It’s not dogs this time. But rays of light, that sting and make you feel true through your bones. Bamboo splintered through your achilles. There’s never had to be a place like this, I said to myself.
But as the systems of life rearrange themselves and the world evolves, as does hell. Over and over. From the inside of the beginning of the coil of the universe… We move outward and outward. And we get to this place where it’s all changed. Everything is falling apart. When hell was once close by… just across the way… it’s now very far. Extraordinarily far. In a way that we hadn’t really considered. As we stray further and further from the center, the start, the beginning, things just get contorted and contorted. Hello?
