Back In The USA was the second album by Detroit s legendary MC5 but the first to be recorded in the studio. Originally released in 1970 this album takes a step back from the raw in your face sound of their classic debut “Kick Out The Jams” for a more focused, tighter approach. Their sophomore effort features a fine selection of originals such as “The Human Being Lawnmower”, “The American Ruse” and “Shakin’ Street” plus choice covers of Little Richard’s “Tutti Frutti” and Chuck Berry’s “Back In The USA”. A top 500 pick for best albums of all time from NME and Rolling Stone
