The first official release (1987) in the short lived career of the Pixies, this 8-track EP grew out of an 18-track demo tape (christened the Purple Tape). Come On Pilgrim is merely an introduction to the style that the Pixies crafted over the next six years. This album rocks from the first track to the last like an earthquake, with the rest of the Pixies’ albums being the deadly aftershocks. A necessity for any fan, or fledgling fan.
