Originally out in 1974, this was Gil Scott-Heron’s first LP for Arista, an association that lasted until 1982. Now backed by The Midnight Band, these upbeat and more mellow jazz-funk tracks underpin Gil’s political, conscious soul lyricism. Includes classics like “The Liberation Song”, “Winter In America” and “Ain’t No Such Thing As A Superman”.
