The Strokes fifth studio album, Comedown Machine with a minimal cover design that resembles an RCA demo tape. It’s their best album since they hit perfection with their debut. They sound like themselves – those taut rhythmical jabs, stabs of guitar underpinning Casablanca’s dozily sighed vocals – but nothing like themselves at the same time.
