“Liebestod has established a unique presence in the current landscap by utilizing field recordings, acoustic sounds, a variety of electronics and synthesizers alongside spoken word and processed vocals. Encompassing and powerful at times, miserable and afraid at others. Admist the churning low end, articulate rhythms, static interruptions and deliberate vocals there is a certain kind of tension induced; not the sort of faux-dark alleyway horror often found in such sounds, but a broad daylight approach of a refusal to accept a rapidly approaching reality.”
