The two extended halves that make up The Fiddler Now Steps to the Road are similar, with a minimal skeleton that grows almost imperceptibly from scrapes that sound like a creaky gate swaying in the wind to a lush and enveloping quilt of tones. The compositions hover precariously, observing the passing storms without seeking answers or balance.”
