Bill Direen – A Memory Of Others

In November, 2019, Chris Davis of Nashville’s premier psychedelic jug band The Cherry Blossoms took Bill Direen on a twelve date tour of Eastern USA to plug the OST of Simon Ogston’s documentary A Memory of Others. Chris added ethereal percussion to Bill’s poems, Telecaster songs and keyboard cabaret as they travelled from Memphis to Philadelphia, from Massachusetts to New York, from WFMU Jersey City to Louisville, Kentucky in a dark wagon not unlike a hearse. Road Runner is Bill’s record and testament to the many dedicated acid/cult inaugurators (and their pets) that he met along the way.
